Hi this is James Payne. I’m a freelance director/producer/cinematographer operating under the Fieldguide banner. Working with a talented network of freelance creators I’ve produced award winning documentaries that have been released on HBO, Discovery, PBS-Independent Lens, Sundance, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Now I’ve applyed those skills to tell stories for commercial, public sector and non-profit clients like the U.S. Veterans Association, Costa del Mar, Hilti and Yeti. Using collaborations, I can help manage all aspects of production and post-production to support the realization of an existing concept or from the creation stage.
